I suppose I can recreate it, but it seems that I should be able to import it somehow. Though I can save a theme someone sends it to me, how do I get their customized palette to show on my list of colors? Do they have to send me their thmx and xml files and I put them in the right place? Or, does it really not matter whether the colors show on the list? I think they should show on the list so that I can use them in other presentations without having to apply the whole theme. I believe it appears twice in my filing system, once as an xml file and another time as a thmx file. When I save a theme I create, it does, of course, show up on my list. I have created my own custom color/theme, so I see how it works and where a customized set of colors appears (above Built-in). (When I click on Colors in the Design tab.)Ģ. Even so, the customized color name does not show up in my list of custom colors. I know how to browse for themes and apply the theme so it shows up in the design thumbnails on my computer. Another user sent me a ppt file and template that has the theme and colors I want. Let me say a few words about what I understand about using themes and colors first.ġ. I'm trying to add a color theme created by someone else to my computer's list of colors for use in PowerPoint 2010. I seem to recall some talk here that referenced libraries with the newer Photos app was unreliable, versus managed. Its my first time running a NAS but happy to try and answer any questions if anyone is interested in similar? I was using USBs but either forget to plug them in or get annoyed if I move slightly and they unmount. Just wondering if there is any advice or resources on getting the most out of photos - like tagging / smart albums etc or wisdom of using it with a NAS / Capture One workflow? Folders on the NAS will be named by date just for my ease of backup/restore, eg: I tested this with 200 images and it seems to perform well. Masters will live on the NAS (synology ds220j) with the catalogue on local disk. I'm trying to whittle down a collection of 36,000 photos in lightroom before moving over to a referenced master set up with Apple Photos. I used Aperture, then lightroom 6 ( still works!) and now Capture One but have decided to use Apple Photos as a gallery /DAM as I dont think capture one has its strength there and any update could break LR6 (end of life 32 bit app on 64-bit Big Sur). I only have 250GB storage on my macbook and want to keep only current files on it, with everything else remote so its not too painful if the macbook is at fault. |
